Alice Bailey is Head of the Islamic and Indian Arts department, she joined Rosebery’s in 2016 having been Head of Department for Islamic and Indian Arts at Bonhams and previously Head of Department for Islamic and Indian Arts at Christie’s South Kensington. Alice was responsible for the white glove sale of a collection of 150 works by Turkish-Jordanian artist Fahrelnissa Zeid in 2012 which achieved £1.2 million, the sale of a rare life-size portrait of the Mughal Emperor Jahangir for £1.42 million. Alice studied Islamic Arts and Archaeology at the School of Oriental and African Studies and worked at the British Museum as Assistant Curator, as well as various private collections.
