Prints & Multiples

The Prints & Multiples department has been established since 2014 and hosts six auctions a year, offering avid collectors and connoisseurs the opportunity to buy important works by renowned artists. A wide range of modern and contemporary editions from Whistler to Banksy are routinely offered in a variety of mediums including woodcut, engraving, etching, lithography, screen-printing, giclee, photography, sculpture and cast multiples.

Artists include modern masters: Picasso, Miro, Chagall, Matisse; Mod Brit favourites: Barbara Hepworth, L.S. Lowry, Richard Lin and William Scott; celebrated American artists: Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Jasper Johns; YBAs: Tracey Emin, Damien Hirst and Sarah Lucas as well as urban artists including Banksy, KAWS, Stik and Invader.

Our strongest and most popular category comes from the greatest Modern British artists in the top and middle auction market, this includes artists such as Elizabeth Frink, Henry Moore, David Hockney, Bridget Riley, Patrick Hughes, Grayson Perry and Howard Hodgkin.

Amongst the sales is a growing presence from Asian artists including Yoshitomo Nara, Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami and Ai Weiwei.

Previous highlights include Andy Warhol shoes print with diamond dust selling for £84,500, a Bob Dylan hand embellished Side Tracks print achieving £40,800, and a Banksy Banksquiat work from 2019, at £87,500.

At Rosebery’s we pride ourselves on educating the new generation's eye by introducing our clients to new artists and techniques, responding to collecting trends and presenting excellent examples of rare and iconic artworks. We are dedicated to enriching the status of Prints and Multiples as an artistically significant, often experimental and increasingly fascinating collecting category.

The department offers a total of 6 auctions a year. Those held in March, July and November will be the in person fine auctions of the most exciting works the department has to offer. The Online Only auctions held in January, May and September will be tailored to the new collector and shall act as a more accessible platform for buying.
