Modern British & 20th Century Art: Part I
Tuesday 3 June 2025 10:00
Featuring highlights from across the globe by Maurice Denis (lot 81), Georges Mathieu (lot 183) and Marc Quinn (lot 420), along with key private collections including The Estate of Lady Jessel (lots 1-9), with Duncan Grant and Alexandrine Kelder, and a Private Collection of Post-War Art (lots 51-63), with Arnulf Rainer and Léon Zack. Roseberys is once again delighted to be working with the Estate of Agi Katz, director of Boundary Gallery, on a large collection focused on the early works of Josef Herman (lots 14-42); as well as Paintings in Hospitals, who are deaccessioning artworks from the charity’s collection, including Albert Irvin, Mary Fedden and Margaret Mellis. This was one of the first collections of art in the UK created to support people’s physical and mental health.
