Wednesday 11 September 2024 10:00
Central to this sale is The Estate of Jill and Michael Barrington (lots 1-30), which includes striking works by Simeon Solomon (lot 5), Jacob Epstein (lot 6) and Edward Seago (lots 25-26), alongside costume designs and Art Deco pieces by Alastair (lots 9-13) and Vera Willoughby (lot 2). Roseberys is also fortunate to be offering three works from the Collection of Ralph I. Goldenberg (lots 31-33), by David Burliuk, Gilian Ayres and Rachel Howard, representing the depth and breadth of this collection. Other individual highlights include a poignant portrait by Keith Vaughan (lot 234) and exquisite pieces by Eliot Hodgkin (lot 367) and Mary Potter (lot 350). Roseberys is very excited to be offering a work by Czech artist Anna Zemánková (lot 299), following her inclusion in the 2024 Venice Biennale.
