Fine & Decorative
Wednesday 24 May 2023 10:00
The sale is led by a private collection of over 70 lots of French and English furniture and works of art removed from a Knightsbridge apartment. Following on from the success of the collection of porcelain in February’s Fine & Decorative sale, we are delighted to include further items from the Robert G. Vater collection of European ceramics, including aFrankenthal porcelain Chinese pavilion group. Presented alongside an appealing range of silver, clocks, sculpture, furniture and rugs, the sale has a number of notable highlights, including a rare, limited edition gold-plated Leica M4-2 rangefinder, a collection of erotic cigarette cases, a Dutch verre églomisé picture by Jonas Zeuner, and over 50 lots of fine and collectable wine, featuring two magnums of Krug 1952 and 1953 Vintage Brut Champagne, specially presented for the 1977 Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.
