Chinese, Japanese & South East Asian Art: Day 1

Included in day one is an exceptional private collection of Kangxi period biscuit porcelain, a selection of fine Chinese art and Imperial porcelains from the Kangxi, Yongzheng, Qianlong, and Jiaqing periods, a collection of scholar’s objects and Himalayan deities from the collection of the late Reverend John Watson, and a curated assemblage celebrating depictions of heroes and deities throughout Chinese art. A collection of early Himalayan art is also offered on the first day spearheaded by a remarkable gilt bronze figure of Manjushri. The first day finishes with over 50 pieces of Japanese art.
