The coming shower;
oil on canvas, signed and dated 'Reginald Aspinwall. 1891' (lower left), bears old inscribed label 'The Coming Shower / By Reginald Aspinwall, ARCA / Lancaster' both verso and attached to the frame, 30.5 x 53.3 cm.

Note:
The present work is characteristic of Aspinwall's landscapes, reflecting his recurring engagement with river and marshland subjects.
He was elected an Associate of the Royal Cambrian Academy in 1887 and exhibited there, as well as at the Royal Academy in London at various times between 1884 and 1908.

Qualifying living artists and the descendants of artists deceased within the last 70 years are entitled to receive a re-sale royalty each time their work is bought through an auction house or art market professional.

0 to £50,000 - 4%
£50,000.01 to £200,000 - 3%
£200,000.01 to £350,000 - 1%
£350,000.01 to £500,000 - 0.5%
Exceeding £500,000 - 0.25%
ARR is capped at £12,500

Export of goods
Buyers intending to export goods should ascertain whether an export licence is required before bidding.
