Description
Of military interest. A boxed set of six regimental silver models of guardsmen and a drummer.

Each raised on a wooden base applied with date, the group comprising: a Charles II pikeman, the base applied with the date 1660; various models of Grenadier Guards wearing arms and accoutrements, including an example wearing a mitre cap (1792), a figure modelled as a guardsman during the Jacobite rising (1745); a 19th century guardsman (1815); a 20th century example in a bearskin hat; and a guardsman holding a Lee-Enfield bolt action rifle, together with a Grenadier Guards drummer, the drum engraved with the regimental badge and inscribed 1st battalion Grenadier Guards., the base applied with presentation plaque dated 1931, models approx. 19.5cm high, in fitted wooden box (6)
Lot Footnotes
The engraving on the plaque affixed to the base of the drummer indicates that this piece was gifted to Captain Christopher John Darell Jeffreys, who married Lady Rosemary Jeffreys (nee Agar), daughter of the 4th Earl Normanton, in 1931. Tragically, Capt. Jeffreys was killed in action near Furnes, Belgium, just nine years later aged thirty two.

Buyer's Premium
The buyer shall pay the hammer price together with a premium thereon of 26% up to £20,000 (31.2% inclusive of VAT), 25% from £20,001 - £500,000 (30% inclusive of VAT), 20% from £500,001 thereafter (24% inclusive of VAT). The premium price is subject to VAT at the standard rate.

Qualifying living artists and the descendants of artists deceased within the last 70 years are entitled to receive a re-sale royalty each time their work is bought through an auction house or art market professional.
It applies to lots with hammer value over £1,000 as follows:
0 to £50,000 - 4%
£50,000.01 to £200,000 - 3%
£200,000.01 to £350,000 - 1%
£350,000.01 to £500,000 - 0.5%
Exceeding £500,000 - 0.25%
ARR is capped at £12,500

Export of goods
