Note:
Patrick Procktor was one of the most important British artists of the late 20th century, celebrated alongside his friends Keith Vaughan and David Hockney. His work has been regularly exhibited at the Redfern Gallery, alongside a touring museum show in 1985 that began at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. He was more recently the subject of an acclaimed retrospective at Huddersfield Art Gallery in 2012. His work is in collections across the world including British Museum, London; Los Angeles County Museum, Museum of Modern Art, New York and Museo de Arte São Paulo, Brazil.
