Description
Six silver vases,
Iran, 20th century,
The taller with conical body on tiered foot, with tiered shoulders, straight short neck and fanciful everted rim, the decoration consisting of a repetition of rising and hanging medallions filled with profuse floral decoration, marked and with silver standard 84 in Persian numerals ; the second, baluster shaped, on plain base, with short straight rim, the body with three larger lobed medallions containing foliate strapwork against a dense floral field inhabited by birds, marked to the base now illegible safe for a Persian numeral ; the third, baluster shaped on splayed foot, with flaring mouth, decorated with four lobed floral medallions interspersed with rising and hanging palmettes, the foot edge stamped with location, maker's mark and silver standard 84 ; the fourth, of similar shape and figural, unmarked ; the fifth and sixth, each figural, on splayed foot, the elongated tapering body rising to a flaring near flat mouth with scalloped rim, the figures within vertical cartouches, interspersed with hanging and rising palmettes on profuse floral and foliate field, unmarked together with a silver plated tray, Walker & Hall, Sheffield, marked and with serial number

Qualifying living artists and the descendants of artists deceased within the last 70 years are entitled to receive a re-sale royalty each time their work is bought through an auction house or art market professional.
It applies to lots with hammer value over £1,000 as follows:
0 to £50,000 - 4%
£50,000.01 to £200,000 - 3%
£200,000.01 to £350,000 - 1%
£350,000.01 to £500,000 - 0.5%
Exceeding £500,000 - 0.25%
ARR is capped at £12,500

Export of goods
Buyers intending to export goods should ascertain whether an export licence is required before bidding.
