Description

A pair of cast copper alloy candlesticks, 
Possibly Egypt, Ottoman provinces, 19th century or later, 

Each with truncated conical base with splayed foot and everted drip-pan, tall cylindrical neck with bulbous and faceted elements rising to a tapering mouthpiece, the decoration consisting of horizontal registers of lobed calligraphic and floral cartouches, registers of strapwork above and below, the bulbous elements with further calligraphy and floral patterns, paired dogs to square elements

Both in overall very good condition, minor cracks on both tops, small dents to surfaces, rubbing and fading to the brass, on one of the candlesticks there is a slightly larger crack to the base and further small dents, as viewed

Buyer's Premium

Qualifying living artists and the descendants of artists deceased within the last 70 years are entitled to receive a re-sale royalty each time their work is bought through an auction house or art market professional.

It applies to lots with hammer value over £1,000 as follows:
0 to £50,000 - 4%
£50,000.01 to £200,000 - 3%
£200,000.01 to £350,000 - 1%
£350,000.01 to £500,000 - 0.5%
Exceeding £500,000 - 0.25%
ARR is capped at £12,500

Export of goods
