Description
A modern Wedgwood powder-blue ground bone china dinner service, 'Portland Vase' gilt and black printed mark, comprising: eighteen dinner plates - 27.4cm diameter; eighteen soup bowls - 22.8cm diameter; eighteen salad plates - 20.6cm diameter; fifteen side plates - 15.4cm diameter; two sauce boats with stands; eighteen teacups with saucers, the teacups 8.4cm diameter; the saucers 14.6cm diameter; and eighteen coffee cans with saucers, the cans 5.5cm diameter; the saucers 12.2cm diameter; together with a further selection of powder-blue ground wares with additional gilt decoration of pairs of winged griffins and a griffin and floral medallion to the centre, comprising: twelve dinner plates - 27.4cm diameter; twelve salad plates - 20.6cm diameter; and twelve side plates - 15.4cm diameter (lot)
Condition Report
Overall this service is in good condition and presents well despite some condition flaws to a few pieces, listed below. Generally, there is evidence of light wear from occasional use, including light scratches to the porcelain and some surface dirt. The colour is good, and the gilding is largely intact, some pieces have some very minor rubbing to the gilding.
Damages: One coffee can with a detached handle, present with the lot - the break is clean and can be restored. One side plate with a recent impact crack. A dirt-filled hairline crack to one coffee can saucer. Crazing and a dirt-filled hairline crack to one teacup saucer. One griffin plate has a recent break from the rim through to the well, this plate needs to be handled carefully and can be restored.

Buyer's Premium
The buyer shall pay the hammer price together with a premium thereon of 26% up to £20,000 (31.2% inclusive of VAT), 25% from £20,001 - £500,000 (30% inclusive of VAT), 20% from £500,001 thereafter (24% inclusive of VAT). The premium price is subject to VAT at the standard rate.

Qualifying living artists and the descendants of artists deceased within the last 70 years are entitled to receive a re-sale royalty each time their work is bought through an auction house or art market professional.
It applies to lots with hammer value over £1,000 as follows:
0 to £50,000 - 4%
£50,000.01 to £200,000 - 3%
£200,000.01 to £350,000 - 1%
£350,000.01 to £500,000 - 0.5%
Exceeding £500,000 - 0.25%
ARR is capped at £12,500

Export of goods
