A George III silver teapot, caddy and sugar bowl set.

Of fluted, oval form, each piece bright-cut engraved with floral and foliate bands and garlands, the teapot with straight spout, wooden handle and an ivory finial to hinged cover, 15cm high, the caddy with hinged cover and knopped oval finial, 14.5cm high, the sugar with reeded swing handle and raised on a shaped, oval foot, 9.4cm high, all engraved with matching crest and arms within oval cartouches, each with same date and maker, total weight approx. 36ozt (3)

Arms: Quarters 1 and 4: Argent a chevron Sable between 3 bull’s heads. Quarters 2 and 3: Per pale Azure and Gules a griffin passant. Escutcheon: Quarters 1 and 4: Per pale barry of four counterchanged, Quarters 2 and 3: Argent on a bend 3 leopard’s heads: Curteis quartering Gyles with Barrett quartering Kimbell/Coker in pretence. The arms are those of Edward Jeremiah Curteis (1762-1835) of Windmill Hill, co. Sussex, M.P. for Sussex 1820-1826, and his wife Mary (d.1841), only daughter and heir of the Rev. Stephen Barrett, rector of Heathfield, Kent, whom he married in 1789.

Qualifying living artists and the descendants of artists deceased within the last 70 years are entitled to receive a re-sale royalty each time their work is bought through an auction house or art market professional.

£50,000.01 to £200,000 - 3%
£200,000.01 to £350,000 - 1%
£350,000.01 to £500,000 - 0.5%
Exceeding £500,000 - 0.25%
ARR is capped at £12,500
