Description
An early Victorian silver mounted dog collar.
London, 1838.
Chased with flowers and foliage in relief framing an inscription dedicated to 'Tabinet', a greyhound formerly belonging to Charles, 2nd Earl Talbot, K.G. (1777-1849). The presentation inscription reading 'TABINET (The property of Earl Talbot). The winner of the Great Champion all aged stakes for all England -- 32 dogs at 20 Guins each at Ashdown Park. Decr. 14th 1838', designed with a leather lining and three pierced slots for adjustable fastening loop, lock deficient, no maker's mark apparent, approx. total circumference 39.3cm, 36cm on loosest fastening loop, 31cm on tightest fastening loop.

Qualifying living artists and the descendants of artists deceased within the last 70 years are entitled to receive a re-sale royalty each time their work is bought through an auction house or art market professional.

£200,000.01 to £350,000 - 1%
£350,000.01 to £500,000 - 0.5%
