Provenance: The collection of the late Jane Sinclair Morpeth
Rowena Murray is a British jewellery and watch designer. An award winning graduate from the Royal College of Arts, she was hired in 2007 by the French jewellery house Van Cleef & Arpels to develop the concepts and designs for the jewellery and watch collection ‘Une Journée à Paris’. The watches themselves were later nominees and prize winners in the ‘Ladies Watch’ category at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in 2009 and 2010. Her work has been featured in exhibitions including The Nature of Platinum, Salone del Mobile, Milan, Italy (2006); The Overcoat, Galerie Marzee, Nijmegen, Netherlands (2009) and Something for the Weekend, Space 54, London, UK (2011). Beyond being a skilled jewellery and watch designer, Murray is also a gemmologist. This prompted her to branch into educational roles, publishing A Rough Guide to Gems in 2013. Her work recently saw her create a spin-off brand developed for children and young families, in which she sought to teach them about diamonds through 3D interactive origami booklets.
Hannah Louise Lamb graduated from Royal College Arts and Glasgow School Arts, and specialises in creating bespoke pieces of personalised art. Based in her studio near Edinburgh, her work draws inspiration from the rugged beauty of Scotland and her Cornish heritage. She has completed commissions for the Bodleian Library, Scottish Government and The Scottish Opera.
