A pair of Danish silver pedestal sugar bowls. 

Maker MK, Danish assay mark for F. Fabricus (1787-1823), 

Late 18th / early 19th century. 

Of navette form, pierced with scrolling motifs and with scrolling handles with conforming decoration, on cross-shaped bases raised on four ball feet (one ball detached), one of the sugar bowls with blue glass liner, each stamped with sign of the zodiac mark,17cm wide, 12cm high (inc. handles). 

The sugar bowls together with a group of silver and metal, including: a silver sugar caster, Chester, 1933, Jay, Richard Attenborough Co., of baluster form, on a stepped circular foot and with knopped finial to cover, 20cm high; a cased set of twelve silver Edwardian teaspoons with a pair of sugar tongs, Sheffield, 1905-1906, James Deakin & Sons, with shell decoration to terminals, the spoons 11cm long, the sugar tongs 9cm long; a cased set of six Elizabeth II silver teaspoons, 1953-1954, Travis, Wilson & Co., 11.3cm long (various city marks); a pair of continental two-pronged forks, the filled silver handles stamped 800 and applied with foliate motifs and bees, with engraved initials within cartouches, 21cm long, in associated case; a Victorian silver mounted cut glass caster, London, 1856, maker J A, with knopped finial to cover, 15.5cm high; a French silver dish, 950 standard, Canaux, Paul (& Cie) (1892 - 1911), of circular form and chased along the rim, 16cm dia.; and a white metal swing-handled sugar bowl, stamped Child & Child, of egg-shaped form and raised on a spreading circular foot, pierced and decorated with foliate motifs and with vacant oval cartouche to side, gadrooned borders and blue glass liner, 8.8cm high; total weighable silver approx. 27.1ozt (a lot)
