Description

Hervé Graumann,
Swiss b.1963-

Vertical Pattern Square Orange I, 2007;

mixed media, signed, titled and dated 2007 on the reverse, 102x102x27.5cm

Exhibition: Centre Pasquart Biel Switzerland, 2007;
"Et pendant ce temps…", Nettie Horn Gallery, London, 2008

Note: Hervé Graumann is a contemporary Swiss multi-media artist.

The present piece is a typical example of Graumanns work, exploring the idea of patterns and symmetry, and the beauty which can be produced through the use of disposable everyday materials, such as plastic cups and straws.

This work has been exhibited at the Kunsthaus Centre dart Pasquart in Biel, Switzerland (2007), and at the Nettie Horn Gallery in London (2008). Further works by Graumann have been shown at Documenta X, Lyon Biennale, Cairo Biennale, and at the Kunsthalle Bern, amongst numerous other locations.

With thanks to the artist for his help in the cataloguing of this work.
