Lot 26

Description

The following lots 26 and 27 are by Alice Halicka.

Halicka exhibited at the Salon des Independants and began to work under the influence of art dealer Leopold Zborowski (1889-1932), who was a strong proponent of Cubism. Zborowski began to represent her work, however her husband strongly discouraged it; as a result Halicka destroyed much of her cubist work, and from 1919 focused on collage and fabric design.
