Biography

Jo is Head of the Decorative Arts Department, having joined Roseberys in 2022.  Prior to this, she was Head of 20th Century Decorative Arts and Senior Specialist at Bonhams, Knightsbridge.  As well as providing valuations for the department, Jo is also an auctioneer and during her time at Bonhams was proud to put the hammer down at £260,000 on a Jean-Prouvé demountable house which featured as part of the Bond street Design sale. Jo holds a Master of Arts degree in Antiques, which included academic research on the impact of Islamic ceramic decoration on British decorative ceramics 1860-1910, resulting in a focus on the works of William De Morgan.  Her knowledge encompasses works from the Aesthetic, Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements, as well as an interest in Scandinavian design - but her particular passion is for 20th century Art and Studio Pottery.
