Cristina Affortunati graduated from SOAS last year with a MA in History of Art and Architecture of the Islamic Middle East. Before that, she gained a BA in History of Art at the University of Paris Nanterre, also a BA in Law from the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Moscow. Cristina did an internship in Florence at the Auction House Maison Bibelot, and during her studies in Paris, she worked as an Assistant Curator during the photography exhibition ‘Temps Suspendu’ organised by musée de La Poste. During her time in Moscow, she worked as a Gallery Assistant at the Osnova Gallery. She is fluent in six languages, English, Russian, Italian, French, Bulgarian and Spanish, and has studied Arabic for 4 years. Besides Islamic and Indian Arts, Cristina has a keen interest in Russian Art, Impressionism, Modern Art and jewellery.
