Roseberys London are delighted to welcome to the team three new appointments from Christie’s South Kensington.

The move to appoint, Nic McElhatton, former chairman of CSK, Fiona Baker head of Decorative Arts and Mark Bowis, Jewellery and Watches specialist signals the exciting expansion and future plans for Roseberys.

“We have a five-year growth plan in place and the appointment of Nic, Mark and Fiona, who are great talents and senior seasoned performers, will super-charge those plans.” Ian Cadzow – Managing Director of Roseberys London.

Nic McElhatton joins Roseberys two days a week as a consultant, Fiona Baker will take up the position as Head of Decorative Arts 3 days a week and Mark Bowis will be developing the Jewellery and Watches department in a new full time position.

Roseberys, led by Ian Cadzow, had already initiated plans to grow as a mid-market saleroom, advertising for specialists in decorative art and jewellery before the announcement of CSK planned closure. In the light of this, Roseberys are now able to capitalise on the availability of CSK talent.

McElhatton and Baker are set to expand and develop the 20th century decorative arts auctions, with the inclusion of new sales and dates for 2018.

Roseberys will expand and develop their specialist areas with Mark Bowis hosting his first sale for Roseberys Jewellery & Watches auction this December.

In addition to their London appointments Roseberys is casting it net wider regionally also, with the appointment of Alex Tonkinson, a Modern Design specialist based in South West England to encourage consignments from further afield.

In the immediate future for Roseberys, plans are being put in place to develop and market their specialist sales with targeted advertising in specialist publications. The recently refurbished building is having in addition to its ground floor gallery increased storage and office space.

In the year that also sees the company celebrate its thirtieth year of trading, Roseberys London is cementing itself as a serious mid-market auction house of South London.
