Note: 
This lot is a Maquette for the series Persontage I Estels I (Figure and Stars), a set of seven etchings which Miró made with the printer Joan Barbarà in Barcelona and which were published by Maeght in 1979. These working proofs reveal the artist’s experimental method of creating an image by placing and re-positioning the composition in a creative way across the picture, using collage, brush and ink, and hand-colouring.

Buyer's Premium

£50,000.01 to £200,000 - 3%
£200,000.01 to £350,000 - 1%
£350,000.01 to £500,000 - 0.5%
Exceeding £500,000 - 0.25%
