Lot 794

Description

Christian Dior.

Mini Lady Dior, of Vert Criquet patent calfskin leather, with goatskin and calfskin lining, further with detachable plated chain, comes with dustbag only

Notes:

The Lady Dior bag epitomizes the House's vision of elegance and beauty. First introduced in 1995 and famously carried by Princess Diana, the Lady Dior quickly rose to icon status, symbolizing refined elegance and cultural prestige. Named in her honor, the bag features the house’s signature Cannage quilting, arched top handles, and dangling gold ‘D.I.O.R.’ charms—a combination of architectural structure and feminine detail. Crafted in Dior’s ateliers through over 140 meticulous steps, it reflects the brand’s heritage of exceptional craftsmanship. A recurring canvas for artistic reinterpretation, the Lady Dior remains a timeless emblem of strength, sophistication, and enduring Parisian style.

The Mini Lady Dior, a modern evolution of the classic design, captures all the elegance of the original in a more compact, versatile form. Favored by a new generation of tastemakers, the mini size offers a youthful, playful proportion without sacrificing the bag’s artisanal integrity. Often seen in limited-edition finishes—from embroidered silk to vibrant patent leather—it has become a coveted statement piece that bridges heritage and contemporary fashion with effortless charm.
