Lot 120

Description

A small group of jewellery, comprising: an Edwardian 9ct gold double sovereign case, with scroll engraving, and suspension loop, Birmingham hallmarks, 1905, length 5.5cm; a 19th century enamel and split pearl gilt metal brooch, with scroll decoration, and glazed panel reverse, length 4.2cm; and a 19th century gilt metal fob, with a carnelian seal, the crest with the motto 'SEMPER IDEM',  suspended from a 9ct gold curb link chain, with T-bar attachment, length 8.5cm (3)

Gross weight approx. 60.2 grams.
Sovereign case: there are various dings and dents to the case, difficult to capture on photograph due to the scroll engraving. The jump ring is out of shape. The lip to the half sovereign holder is split and bent. Surface marks/scratches all over, and a little dirty to the inside edges. Springs appear in good working order, as does the main catch.
Sovereign case on its own weighs approximately 31.6 grams.
