The River Wye at Chepstow;
oil on canvas, signed 'F. E. Woollard' (lower right), bears label inscribed '"The Wye, Chepstow" / 1909. / Exhibited at Royal Academy / 1938' attached verso, bears various further partial labels to the reverse of the frame, 46.2 x 61.5 cm. ARR.

Note:
Woollard attended the Clapham School of Art before studying at the Slade School of Art from 1905 to 1908. She was a frequent exhibitor at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, with eight of her paintings exhibited there between 1918 and 1939, for which she received critical praise, including in publications such as 'The Gentlewoman'.

Qualifying living artists and the descendants of artists deceased within the last 70 years are entitled to receive a re-sale royalty each time their work is bought through an auction house or art market professional.
It applies to lots with hammer value over £1,000 as follows:
0 to £50,000 - 4%
£50,000.01 to £200,000 - 3%
£200,000.01 to £350,000 - 1%
£350,000.01 to £500,000 - 0.5%
Exceeding £500,000 - 0.25%
ARR is capped at £12,500

Export of goods
