Description
Abd al-Hadi al-Sudi (d. 1525-26 AD): Prayers,
signed S[a]mi Ilyas al-Naymani al-Salari, China, 19th century,
Composition in prose and verse, including excerpts of the Qur'an and the Qasida al-Burda, Arabic manuscript on paper, 38ff., with 9ll. of black script per page, opening bifolio with 5ll. of black script and decorated with gold and polychrome, surah headings in red, final folio with undecorated medallion with inscription giving the title of the work as al-Mawlid [Mawlad?] al-Sharif and the date of 12 Rabi II AH 980/1September 1572 AD, stating that it was copied in Xian, in original brown leather tooled binding,
folio 24.5 x 18.5cm.

'Abd al-Hadi al-Sudi, a Sudanese, (d. 1525-26 AD) was a follower of the famous early Sufi 'Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani. The name of the sufi master Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani appears in the preface of the manuscript

Qualifying living artists and the descendants of artists deceased within the last 70 years are entitled to receive a re-sale royalty each time their work is bought through an auction house or art market professional.
It applies to lots with hammer value over £1,000 as follows:
0 to £50,000 - 4%
£50,000.01 to £200,000 - 3%
£200,000.01 to £350,000 - 1%
£350,000.01 to £500,000 - 0.5%
Exceeding £500,000 - 0.25%
ARR is capped at £12,500

Export of goods
Buyers intending to export goods should ascertain whether an export licence is required before bidding.
