Description
Follower of Simon Pietersz Verelst,
Dutch 1644-1721-

Provenance:
with Sebastian D'Orsai, London.

Note:
The present work strongly recalls Verelst's atmospheric floral still life compositions, with vibrant flowers set dramatically against a dark backdrop, as, for example, in his work which sold at Lempertz, Cologne, on 16 November 2024, lot 2069, and another which sold at Christie's, Amsterdam, on 15 November 2016, lot 47.
