Description

An extensive composite Christofle 'Malmaison' and Jasper Conran for Wedgwood bone china part dinner and tea service, 20th century, printed marks, the Christofle pieces comprising: a large two-handled tureen and cover, a large footed serving bowl, two large oval serving dishes, two small oval dishes, two large circular serving platters, two rectangular serving trays, two sauce boats, twelve large under-plates, eleven dinner plates, seven soup bowls, twelve salad plates, twelve side plates, a large teapot and cover, a milk jug, a sugar bowl, eleven tea cups and twelve saucers; the Wedgwood pieces comprising: six dinner plates, six salad plates (one A/F) six large circular bowls, four smaller circular bowls, a teapot and cover, a milk jug, a sugar bowl, nine tea cups and eleven saucers; together with a Wedgwood bone china serving bowl, and three Silver by Aston Martin tea mugs (lot)

The services are in good condition and show light signs of use.

Some of the Christofle Malmaison dinner plates with very light wear to their platinum borders. One Christofle Malmaison large circular serving plate with small loss to decoration on its border. One Christofle Malmaison cup with very minor nibble to footirm. The Christofle Malmaison sugar pot with residue of label to underside. The Christofle Malmaison oval serving dishes with light wear to their platinum decoration. Two Christofle underplates with mark to their silvered rims. 

The plain Wedgwood saucers with light marks to their silvered rims. One plain Wedgwood teacup with wear to its silvered rim. One Wedgwood salad plate broken (A/F). One Wedgwood pasta bowl with wear to its silvered rim. One Wedgwood shagreen bowl with light marks to it silvered rim. 

One Aston Martin cup with very light chip to foot. Another Astor Martin cup with wear to its silvered rim.

The pieces in good condition with overall light scratching and dirt.

Buyer's Premium

The buyer shall pay the hammer price together with a premium thereon of 26% up to £20,000 (31.2% inclusive of VAT), 25% from £20,001 - £500,000 (30% inclusive of VAT), 20% from £500,001 thereafter (24% inclusive of VAT). The premium price is subject to VAT at the standard rate.

(ARR) - ARTIST'S RESALE RIGHT

Qualifying living artists and the descendants of artists deceased within the last 70 years are entitled to receive a re-sale royalty each time their work is bought through an auction house or art market professional.

It applies to lots with hammer value over £1,000 as follows:
0 to £50,000 - 4%
£50,000.01 to £200,000 - 3%
£200,000.01 to £350,000 - 1%
£350,000.01 to £500,000 - 0.5%
Exceeding £500,000 - 0.25%
ARR is capped at £12,500

Export of goods

Buyers intending to export goods should ascertain whether an export licence is required before bidding.
