A group of intact Amlash pottery
North Iran, late 2nd – mid 1st Millennium B.C.
comprising a grey pottery flask of globular form, the neck flaring towards the rim, 15.5cm. high; an intact reddish-orange Amlash pottery vessel of ‘bag’ form, with beaked spout and ring handle, decorated below the rim with an incised pattern of hatched pendant triangles between two horizontal parallel lines, 14.4cm. high; An intact Amlash biscuit-coloured tripod vessel, of fine pinkish buff clay, smoothed surface, a very evenly and regularly potted vessel with convex base; the tripod feet with flat ends, wheel-made, 15.4 cm. diam. x 7.5cm. high; An intact Amlash cup, thin-walled and evenly potted, with ring handle and conical base, of pale pinkish-orange clay covered with a red slip and burnished, wheel-made, 6cm. high; An intact Amlash reddish-orange pottery carinated bowl, of hemispherical form, tapering to a flat slightly concave base, with broad gently flaring neck, 12cm high x 16cm diam; An Amlash orange-brown pottery flask, with globular body, tall, slightly flaring neck with side handle and tubular spout emerging from the shoulder, decorated with wide grooves around the neck and the lower parts of the handle and spout, decorated with an incised pattern of pendant triangles drawn with double parallel lines, and diamond shapes below the neck, handle and round the base of the spout, 18 cm. high; An intact Amlash pottery spouted jug, with globular body, concave neck, looped handle and tubular spout emerging diagonally from the shoulder, traces of black painted decoration on the neck, 12.5cm. high. Qualifying living artists and the descendants of artists deceased within the last 70 years are entitled to receive a re-sale royalty each time their work is bought through an auction house or art market professional.

£200,000.01 to £350,000 - 1%
£350,000.01 to £500,000 - 0.5%
Exceeding £500,000 - 0.25%
ARR is capped at £12,500

Export of goods
